Let's rewrite
[edit]This article needs more attention and, in my opinion, should be rewritten entirely.
1. It's full of information that is not general knowledge and that is not cited. For examples, the historical viability of the Children's Crusade is disputed among historians, and the statement that "in most institutions of slavery throughout the world, the children of slaves became the property of the master" is, as far as I know, completely wrong. (Maybe it's correct, but we need a citation.it is only the random information that contributors didn't know where to place. For example, the use of child camel jockeys is a topic worth mentioning but not one that needs its own section.
Let's rewrite, using real citations and logical sections and subsections.
